Drone flying Palestine flag hovers over Twickenham during England and Italy Six Nations match

A drone carrying a Palestinian flag hovered over Twickenham Stadium during England’s Six Nations rugby match against Italy.

Palestine Action, the group behind the demonstration, revealed they had targeted Twickenham over alleged commercial ties with Elbit Systems - an Israeli defence contractor.

The drone appeared in the stadium's airspace during the second half of the match.

Despite the disruption, the game continued, with England securing a victory over Italy.

The win puts Steve Borthwick’s men in prime position to capitalise on any final-day slip-up by tournament leaders France.
