Google Calendar down: App not working for users as outages reported across world
'Not Found,'?it reads. 'Error 404'
Google Calendar is down, leaving people without a schedule.
The app and website appears to have broken for unexplained reasons.
Instead of seeing their schedule, users just see a relatively old-fashioned error message, making clear the site is broken.
"Not Found," it reads. "Error 404."
The issue was particularly focused in the UK, mainland Europe and the US, with some problems reported in South America, according to the tracking website Downdetector. The outage is likely to be worldwide but the rest of the world is still asleep.
Google's status page, which is supposed to track outages across its products, had initially kept a message up saying that Google Calendar is still working. But at the time of publication it had been changed to acknowledge the issue and say it was being worked on.
"We're investigating reports of an issue with Google Calendar," it read.
"We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are unable to access Google Calendar."
The outage came just an hour after Google's G Suite account had posted about how using Calendar makes scheduling "simpler".
No other Google products appear to be affected, with apps and sites like Gmail and Google Docs still loading as normal.
