The event will be of key importance to Apple, as it it's the first time the company has launched an entirely new kind of device since the iPad, when Steve Jobs was still in control of the company.
Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive, and the rest of his team are expected to run through some of the features of the watch — which was first announced in September — as well as potentially announcing some new ones. The company could also announce its new MacBook Air and a streaming music service based on Beats, which it bought last year.
