HAYDOCK
12.50: ADMIRAL'S WELL looked set to take high order among the juvenile hurdlers before getting bogged down by heavy ground on his last two starts. He is very well handicapped on his wins when the going was faster and proved his well-being with a close second on the Flat at Kempton last month. The handicapper could also have underrated the runaway Perth winner Smuggler's Point.
1.25: SWEET GLOW's season came alight at Ascot in March with his head defeat of Avro Anson. The latter has proved frustrating to follow this year, with a disqualification among several gallant defeats in his form figures. He meets the selection on identical terms, and although the outcome is again likely to be close, SWEET GLOW can continue his rival's unlucky season.
2.00: HOME COUNTIES finished close up in Sandown's Imperial Cup and his poor showing in a prep race for this can probably be ignored. Arcot and Texan Tycoon remain well handicapped and will pose threats.
KEMPTON
2.40: The progressive SAINT KEYNE finished 5 lengths behind Tioman Island when they met last season but a 12lb weight concession should turn the tables. 1990 Cesarewitch winner Trainglot has not run on the Flat for two years, but may figure if at his best.
3.10: TAGHAREED returns to sprinting after finishing second to Fairy Heights in the Sweet Solera Stakes last summer and should have the measure of Hill Hopper, who will find the underfoot conditions much livelier than on her winning debut.
3.40: Last year's winner Pay Homage is a stone higher in the ratings now and may not be able to cope with the Newbury Spring Handicap third BEAUCHAMP HERO, who should continue to progress this season.
4.10: Despite runners from the Gosden and Stoute stables, this may not be a very competitive event. TOP GUIDE is the only one to show real potential. Trade Wind, who ran in a handicap last time, may follow him in.
