Seville and Celta Vigo, the Spanish First Division clubs relegated to the Third Division because of administrative errors, are preparing appeals to Spain's top sports body.
A crowd of 25,000 Seville supporters marched through the Andalusian capital on Wednesday, demanding reinstatement of the club, who have qualified for this season's Uefa Cup competition. In the Galician port of Vigo, the home of Celta, 10,000 demonstrated with club banners.
Seville, fifth in the league last season, and Celta, who finished 13th of the 20 clubs, were ordered to be demoted when they failed to provide required bank guarantees to support their 1995/96 budget by the 31 July deadline.
