A herd of 100 hippos which is destroying acres of crops in northern Cameroon killed two women in a hunting party that was chasing the animals, AP reports from Yaounde.
The marauding herd has been terrorising the rich farming community around Lake Guere, near the border with Chad, for weeks. In daily raids from the lake, it has uprooted and destroyed dozens of fields of millet and sorghum.
