chuck your flares out. Destroy: Punk Graphic Design in Britain couldn't have picked a better time for its retrospective look at the explosion in visual arts that accompanied punk. Shag pile is back in (apparently), Boogie Nights is playing to packed houses and Ang Lee's The Ice Storm opens today - representing everything, in fact, early punk design reacted against. Surveying the record sleeves, posters, fliers and fanzines of the rawest of youth cultures, Destroy looks at the work of Malcolm Garrett, Neville Brody and Sebastian Conran, amongst others, whose influence is still being felt today. you're well Handel'ed. Emma Jenkins revives Nicholas Hytner's staging of the ENO's take on Xerxes. Sarah Connolly sings the title role in this most daring of Handel productions, with Janis Kelly as Romilda and the role of Arsamenes played by a newcomer to the English stage, Artur Stefanowicz.
