Radio 1's Big Weekend 2015 line-up: Taylor Swift confirmed as Norwich set to play host
The Grammy-winning singer is the first act announced on a 'huge' line-up

Norwich is set to play host to Radio 1’s Big Weekend this summer, with Taylor Swift confirmed as the first headliner.
Nick Grimshaw announced the news on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning, revealing that the city’s Earlham Park will be the popular event’s next stop on 23 and 24 May.
“Shake It Off” singer Swift is the first act on the line-up. which Grimshaw promised will be “huge”.
Speaking of the UK crowd, the seven-time Grammy winner said: “They are rowdy, insane in the best way – there seems to be a lot of jumping, which I love.
“Everyone talks about the festivals in England being the best ones you can go to. I feel like I’ve been missing out – I’m really excited.”
Radio 1’s Big Weekend is the biggest free ticketed music festival in Europe and further performers will be revealed on air in the coming months. Tickets are allocated by ballot with priority going to those living near the host location.
Radio 1’s Academy will also open for a fourth year, with 16-19-year-olds invited to a series of Q&As, masterclasses and radio shows in a bid to inspire them.
One Direction, Katy Perry and Coldplay headlined last year’s Big Weekend, which kicks off the festival season.
